Piece Model Editor


While the source code of the game was released back when it was first made for the jam, one piece that i didn't release was the tool used to create the animations for Petra - this was because some of the model files were hardcoded and i wanted to remove these hardcoded references and also allow making any sort of model hierarchy. I finally decided to spend some time cleaning up the code and add the necessary functionality to create subnodes (pieces), load meshes and delete them, which should allow for making custom models for the engine or editing Petra's animations. The tool looks like this:

At some point i want to extract the engine from the Post Apocalyptic Petra sourcecode so that it might be used for other projects and update Post Apocalyptic Petra itself to use that extracted code instead of its own copy. At that time the animation tool should be more useful, but right now it is really only something to play around with.
